Jon Stemmle

JON STEMMLE is a professor of strategic communication and former director of the Health Communication Research Center at the Missouri School of Journalism. He also has an appointment as an affiliate faculty member in the School of Health Professions. In his role as a professor, Stemmle has taught a wide range of classes dealing with topics such as public relations, health and science communication, social media, event planning and integrated marketing campaigns. Earnest Perry

Dr. EARNEST L. PERRY is the Associate Dean of Graduate Studies and Research at the Missouri School of Journalism. He served as coordinator of the School’s doctoral teaching program for six years and as chair of journalism studies from 2005-2011 and again during the 2013-14 academic year. Dr. Perry currently serves as chair of the Publications Committee for the Association on Education in Journalism and Mass Communication. DAVID HERZOG is a veteran investigative reporter, data journalist and educator with more than 30 years of experience. He enjoys discovering how journalists can use data analysis tools to uncover the news better. Herzog teaches data journalism to student and professional journalists. He speaks frequently about investigative reporting, data journalism and access to information. As the academic adviser to the National Institute for Computer-Assisted Reporting, he helps guide data services for Investigative Reporters and Editors.
