International Conference on Computational Systems Bioinformatics (CSB)
The conference’s goal is to facilitate the exchange of ideas and collaborations between computer scientists and biologists by presenting cutting-edge computational biology research findings. We will again be soliciting competitively peer-reviewed, high impact manuscripts describing novel methods, analysis and/or discovery in bioinformatics. Additionally, this year will feature poster abstracts to be presented as short talks during the conference, giving researchers and trainees an opportunity to present their latest work.
International Conference on Intelligent Systems for Molecular Biology (ISMB)
The annual international conference on Intelligent Systems for Molecular Biology (ISMB) is the major meeting of the International Society for Computational Biology (ISCB). Over the past eighteen years the ISMB conference has grown to become the world’s largest bioinformatics/computational biology conference, and ISMB 2010 will be the year’s most important computational biology event globally.
International Conference on Research in Computational Molecular Biology (RECOMB)
The conference series aims at attracting research contributions in all areas of computational molecular biology, including: molecular sequence analysis; recognition of genes and regulatory elements; molecular evolution; protein structure; structural genomics; analysis of gene expression; biological networks; sequencing and genotyping technologies; drug design; probabilistic and combinatorial algorithms; systems biology; computational proteomics; structural and functional genomics; information systems for computational biology and imaging.
Health Informatics
American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA)
AMIA (the American Medical Informatics Association) is a professional scientific association that was formed by the merger of three organizations in 1989: the American Association for Medical Systems and Informatics (AAMSI); the American College of Medical Informatics (ACMI); and the Symposium on Computer Applications in Medical Care (SCAMC). For more than 35 years, members of AMIA and its honorific college, ACMI, have sponsored meetings, education, policy, and research programs. AMIA continues to gain influence as the authoritative voice in the growing field of informatics through the individual and collective efforts of its members, who continue to drive thought leadership, and research and practice in their respective disciplines.
Health Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS)
HIMSS is a global, cause-based, not-for-profit organization focused on better health through information technology (IT). HIMSS leads efforts to optimize health engagements and care outcomes using information technology. HIMSS is a part of HIMSS WorldWide, a cause-based, global enterprise producing health IT thought leadership, education, events, market research and media services around the world. Founded in 1961, HIMSS WorldWide encompasses more than 52,000 individuals, of which more than two-thirds work in healthcare provider, governmental and not-for-profit organizations across the globe, plus over 600 corporations and 250 not-for-profit partner organizations, that share this cause. HIMSS WorldWide, headquartered in Chicago, serves the global health IT community with additional offices in the United States, Europe, and Asia.
World Congress on Medical and Health Informatics (MEDINFO)
IMIA organizes the internationally acclaimed “World Congress on Medical and Health Informatics” – commonly know as MedInfo. The event, currently triennial, but biennial after 2013, provides both a high quality scientific exchange of current research and thinking in health and biomedical informatics and an opportunity for formal meetings and informal networking of IMIA’s members. The event is jointly hosted by IMIA and one of its Member Societies. The selection of the host society is determined through a vote of the IMIA General Assembly.
