Sonia is pursuing her PhD in Health Informatics at the University of Missouri with a keen focus on the innovative application of machine learning techniques to enable early prediction of Alzheimer’s disease using healthcare data.
Sonia completed her BS in Forestry from the Institute of Forestry and Environmental Sciences, CU, Bangladesh. She then seized the opportunity to pursue her MS in European Forestry under the prestigious Erasmus Mundus program, studying in various European countries such as Finland, Sweden, Spain, the Netherlands, Austria, France, and Germany. Later, she earned a second MS degree in chemical genetics from both the Technical University of Munich, Germany, and the University of BOKU, Austria.
Sonia’s research interests includes Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Healthcare data.
Beyond her academic interest, Sonia is highly committed to leadership and serves in the role of Secretary for the Graduate Student Organization (GSO).
