Diana Kennedy is Associate Director of Program/Project Operations for the Department of Health Management and Informatics and Doctoral Research Fellow with the MU Center for Health Ethics.  With more than ten years of leadership and administrative experience in diverse health-related industries, her background includes success in many areas including quality improvement, grant writing and management, medical records custodian, fiscal management, project management, policy development and implementation, and strategic planning.  She holds a Master of Health Administration and Master of Science in Health Informatics from the University of Missouri School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Human Studies. She is also a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, certified thourgh the Institute of Industrial Engineers. Her Master’s thesis was a quality improvement aimed project titled, “Assessment of Physician and Resident Attitudes towards Professionalism in an Academic Medical Center Department at the University of Missouri.” Her doctorial dissertation surrounds the transformation of the advanced care planning process through the use of computer-assisted instruction and digital media tools.
